Keeping Your Personal Information Secure

For your security, never disclose sensitive account information on a public platform. Refrain from sharing Personal Identifying Information (PII) via public comment. Do not post via public comment or send by Direct or Private Message any financial information, such as your account number, social security number or passwords, on any social forum.

We may ask you to provide your contact information via Direct or Private message, but we will never ask for your account number on social sites.

While Synchrony will make every effort to delete comments featuring sensitive or personal information, we do not guarantee this will be completed nor is it required. Deleted posts may have been seen by others users prior to removal.

When visiting an official Synchrony social media page, users are also subject to Synchrony’s Online Privacy Policy (hyperlinked) and the data security and privacy of the social channels' security policies and practices.

Terms of Use

We strive to provide an open, interactive space for you to engage and connect with Synchrony and others interested in our company and services. We ask that you share your opinions and feedback in a respectful manner. Please do not disclose sensitive, personal information.

Synchrony reserves the right to remove, at our sole discretion and without prior notice, consequence or liability for that action, any content including, but not limited to:

• Discriminatory content including hate
• Confidential or proprietary material
• Inappropriate content
• Threats
• Inaccurate or false statements
• Obscene or profane language
• Solicitations and Promotions
• Spam
• Repeat Commentary

Synchrony social media communities (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest, X, etc.) are moderated. All comments and posts will be reviewed to ensure that they comply with this terms of use. The following content and conduct is not permitted on the social media sites of Synchrony and Synchrony reserves the right to remove any content or suspend, remove or block any fans from our social media pages and profiles who violate these terms of use without explanation or prior notice. If an explicit threat has been made or law broken, our internal security teams will be notified who may report violators to relevant authorities.

1. Illegal or fraudulent activity

You agree not to engage in, promote, or advocate any illegal activity or fraudulent schemes of any kind, including, but not limited to, money laundering, phishing, tax evasion, securities fraud, and pyramid or multi-level marketing schemes, through your postings or other use of Synchrony social pages or profiles. You also agree not to post links to other websites that engage in such activities.

Do not submit content that you know is false, inaccurate, libelous, or otherwise misleading in any way, and do not mislead as to the origin of posted content.

Do not submit content or links that contains any computer viruses, worms, or other potentially damaging computer programs or files.

Do not post or transmit material you do not have the right to post or transmit under law (such as copyright, trade secret or securities) or due to your personal contractual or fiduciary relationships.

Do not post material that violates any applicable law or regulation, including, without limitation, the rules and regulations of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the national or other securities exchanges, (especially, and including, the rule against making false or misleading statements to manipulate the price of any security).

You may not use this site in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair our servers or networks, or interfere with any other user's use and enjoyment of this site.

You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any services, user names, computer systems or networks, through hacking, password mining or any other means. We may take any legal and technical remedies necessary to prevent the violation of this provision.

2. Profane, obscene, inappropriate, disruptive and unrelated content

Graphic, indecent, profane, obscene, sexually explicit, pornographic material of any kind (including masked profanity where symbols, initials, intentional misspellings or other characters are used to suggest profane language), racist, or sexist comments are strictly prohibited.

Threats, personal attacks, abusive, slanderous, defamatory, derogatory or inflammatory language, or stalking or harassment of any individual, entity or organization is strictly prohibited.

Discriminatory or hateful speech of any kind, regarding, but not limited to, age, gender identity, race, religion, nationality, sexual orientation or disability is strictly prohibited.

You agree not to engage in any spamming or excessive posting, or submit content that is disruptive, off-topic, deliberately intended to have a negative impact on this site, or its users.

3. Common Courtesy, Complaints and Etiquette

Use care in posting your sensitive, personal or identifying information. Please do not include personally identifiable information such as Social Security numbers or account numbers on any public or private post. Do not include phone numbers or email addresses in any comment on public posts

Do not post any personal or identifying information about another person, including addresses, email addresses, contact information, or phone numbers. Maintain courtesy. Posting with all caps, html tags or excessive typographic symbols may result in your post being removed.

We encourage users of our social media pages to treat other users with respect and to keep conversations limited to relevant topics.

Do not engage in disruptive, antisocial or destructive acts, including “flaming,” “flooding,” “spamming,” “griefing,” and “trolling,” as those terms are commonly understood. Take caution not to engage with individuals taking part in the activities mentioned. While Synchrony will delete these comments, we do not guarantee this will be completed nor is it required.

4. Copyright and Intellectual Property Violations

Infringement on any party’s copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret, intellectual property, or other proprietary rights, or right of publicity or privacy is strictly prohibited and is your sole responsibility.

By submitting any content to our pages, you warrant and represent that you are the copyright owner of the content or that the copyright owner of the content has granted you permission to use such content consistent with the manner and purpose of your use. Using this site to distribute unauthorized copies of copyrighted material, including photos, artwork, text, recordings, designs, computer programs, or derivative works of such programs is strictly prohibited and subject to removal.

5. Solicitations and Promotions and other commercial use

You agree not to post, or otherwise make available, any content or third-party website, with the intent of harming the flow of information and/or participation in this site.

Posting unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, promotional materials, junk mail, spam, fraud, chain letters, hyperlinks, referral offers or pyramid or multi-level marketing schemes, or using automated means, including spiders, robots, crawlers, data-mining tools or other means to download data from this site is strictly prohibited.

Please note that by posting comments, posts, tagged photos, videos, ideas, or any other content on our pages, you are granting us nonexclusive, worldwide rights to republish, redistribute, or otherwise use this content in perpetuity in any way we see fit. This includes, but is not limited to, social media, marketing and advertising materials.

Links to Third-Party Sites

Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Pinterest, Reddit and YouTube are third-party sites unaffiliated with Synchrony and we are not responsible for the privacy or security policies or practices on these sites or on any of the third-party websites we may link to. You should review the privacy and security practices of all such third party websites.

We may occasionally post links to third-party sites when we think you'll find the information helpful. However, please note that this does not in any way constitute an official endorsement of the site, individual or company. The appearance of external links, as posted by users of our pages does not constitute endorsement on behalf of Synchrony.

A Notice on Viewpoints

Any content shared on Synchrony social media pages by Synchrony are believed to be accurate and reliable at the time of posting.

Viewpoints, opinions or statements shared by Synchrony employees on Synchrony-owned social media channels do not necessarily constitute an official position by Synchrony or mirror Synchrony’s opinions. If we feel the nature of a comment is confidential, shares information not generally available, or recommends an action that could adversely affect our customers or team members, we reserve the right to remove it.

Right to Close or Modify Social Media Pages

Synchrony reserves the right to close or modify any of its social media pages at any time without liability or prior notice.
